Terms of Sale

Silux London is a trading name of Studio Saina Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

Your order is confirmed when your payment, or your deposit where a deposit option is shown, is completed. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

Every piece is made to order. The lead time shown with each piece is an estimate and runs from the day your order is confirmed. We will keep you informed if your timeline changes.

Where a deposit option is shown, the stated percentage is taken at checkout and the balance is invoiced before your piece is dispatched.

On a bespoke commission the deposit is 50%, taken at design approval. If you decide not to continue after the model has been produced but before you approve it, the deposit is refunded less £250 for the design and modelling work already carried out. Computer models remain the property of Studio Saina Ltd and are not released; you are shown renders and photographs of the model for approval.

All prices are in pounds sterling and include UK VAT where applicable.

Solid precious-metal pieces are hallmarked at a UK assay office where the Hallmarking Act 1973 requires it, before dispatch.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

The What-You-Approved Guarantee. Before your piece leaves the studio it is checked against the model you approved: dimensions, stones, construction. If the piece that reaches you is not the piece you approved, it is remade at my cost.

The Maker's Lifetime Guarantee. If a fault in the making ever shows itself, a failed joint, a casting flaw, a stone loosened by its setting rather than by a knock, I put it right at my cost, for the life of the piece. I made it, so it is mine to stand behind. A manufacturing fault is a failure of the making itself, such as a casting flaw, a failed joint, or a stone loosened by its setting. Marks, scratches, bent shanks, chipped or broken stones and other consequences of wear or impact are not manufacturing faults; they are repairable, and repairs are quoted fairly from the piece's file.

Set Stones, Guaranteed. For the first two years, if an accent stone loosens or falls from its setting in normal wear, it is replaced and reset free. If your centre stone ever feels loose, it is re-secured free. A lost centre stone is what your insurance specification exists for, and every commission includes one. Around the first anniversary, your piece is invited back for a free check and clean, in the studio or by insured post, so a loosening stone is caught before it is a lost one. For clients overseas, the check begins as a guided inspection by video call, working from your piece’s studio file, so nothing crosses a border unless it genuinely needs the bench.

The File for Life. Your piece keeps its file in this studio for as long as you own it: the drawing, the model, the stone certificate, the specification. Any future repair is quoted from the file, not from guesswork. And if the worst happens and the piece is lost, the design is not: it can be made again, and the design work is never charged twice.

There is no registration card and nothing to void. I know every piece I have made, and the guarantee lives in the studio file, not in a form you might forget to send back. Where another workshop alters or repairs a piece, only that work and its direct consequences sit outside these guarantees; the rest of the piece remains covered. Where guarantee work needs the piece at the bench, the route is agreed before anything travels: within the UK, insured post both ways is covered by the studio; from overseas, the guided remote check from the piece's file comes first, and shipping is agreed honestly case by case. Accidental damage and loss are not covered by any guarantee here, which is exactly what the insurance specification supplied with every commission exists for. Every guarantee here is in addition to your statutory rights, never in place of them.
