Painted night sky of golden girih stars over a Persian garden archway

Eternity rings

Half set, so it can always be resized.

We do not keep eternity rings in stock. Each one is made to commission, in solid gold, to mark an anniversary or a milestone that deserves its own piece.

An eternity ring is usually the third ring on the hand, so it has to live alongside the two that are already there. The stones run across the top of the band, a short girih passage closes each end, and the lower half stays plain polished gold.

The design below is the house half-eternity as it stands. Stones, span and proportions are settled with you.

Why half, and never full

We set stones halfway around the band, never the full circle. A full eternity ring cannot be resized: the stones run the whole way round, so there is nowhere to cut. Fingers change over the decades a ring like this is meant to be worn, and the usual outcome is a ring that lives in a drawer.

Half eternity keeps a plain span of gold under the finger, which is where the ring is opened and closed when it needs to change size. It is more comfortable against the fingers either side, and the stones sit where they are actually seen. It is a deliberate choice, not a smaller one.

Tell us the date you are marking, and we will begin there.
