Vasl

Vasl

Diamond rings for union: fire, starlight and dawn.

Vasl is the Persian word for union: the meeting after longing that has run through Persian poetry for centuries. It is the name Silux gives to the engagement collection, where every ring marks two lives brought together in diamond and gold.

The names carry that lineage forward. Atash and Azar take their lattice halos from the geometry of fire temples. Mahtab, Nahid, Niloufar, Parveen and Sahar carry names for a Persian star, an architectural Venus, a water lily, the Pleiades cluster and dawn, the language Persian poets reached for when they wrote of the beloved. Shireen, a three-stone ring, carries that same name for the beloved answered.

Wedding bands complete the collection. Hamdam carries a relief drawn from Persepolis, Hamsang from the Shahnameh, Persia's great epic. Vasl is union carried in gold, from the ring that asks the question to the band that answers it.
