Emza

Emza

A single letter, sculpted as one continuous stroke of gold.

Emza means signature in Persian, and that is exactly what this collection is. I sculpt a single letter as one continuous stroke, thick where the reed pen presses down and thin where it lifts away, the way a hand actually writes. Nothing is stamped and nothing is flat. The outer edge is mirror-polished, the inner curve left satin-brushed, so the letter catches light the way ink catches a page.

Some letters carry more than a name. I can set a small butterfly on the stroke, wings smooth and continuous, or a blossom with a diamond caught at its heart. A songbird can perch on the curve like a bird on a branch, a vine of leaves can wind up the tall stroke, or a bee can rest low with softly raised bands across its back. Every element grows out of the gold as one piece, never applied, never loose.

Your signature in gold starts with a wave of ten favourite initials I keep ready to work from, and grows from there. Any letter of the alphabet can be made to order, cast fresh for you. Every piece begins as solid gold, 9ct as standard with 18ct available on request, never plated. I model each letter in CAD, cast it, and send it to the Birmingham Assay Office to be hallmarked before it reaches you.
