Two ibex meet at a pomegranate tree, the oldest composition in Persian metalwork, cut through so that light and skin show between the horns. The diamonds stay at the edge: one ring of them, flush, the pearl border the Sassanian court wore on its silks. The disc sits on a slim tapered shank as its own element, low enough to live under a glove. Wear it daily; it was designed to be.
