The Story
The Bahar bangle takes its name from the Persian word for spring. Bahar is not just a season: in Persian poetry and art, it is the supreme moment of the year, when the garden comes back to life and colour returns to everything that had gone grey. I have been surrounded by Persian garden imagery my whole life, and I wanted to make something that wore that inheritance honestly. The motifs on this bangle are drawn from the floral vocabulary of Persian garden design: pomegranate flowers, almond blossom, and the stylised rosettes that appear in Persian tilework and manuscript illumination. They circle the bangle in a continuous band, as if the garden has no beginning and no end. Cast and hand-finished in 18ct yellow gold, the bangle is hinged for easy wear with a concealed clasp. The floral surface is worked in relief, with textured petals rising from a satin ground. Hallmarked in Birmingham. Bangle diameter adjustable within a small range on request. Lead time 4-6 weeks, made to order. Bespoke adjustments available. Contact us to discuss.
