The Story
I designed the Emza Bee Letter Pendant for a signature with a little warmth and a little wit. A small bee rests low on the inner curve of your chosen letter, body smooth and domed, with soft raised bands rather than sharp engraved stripes. The bee is fused to the letter as one piece of gold, grown out of the stroke rather than set onto it, so it sits flush and secure against the inner curve where the satin-brushed finish already sits. The outer edge keeps its mirror polish, so the letter still reads clean and sculptural at a glance, with the bee revealing itself on closer look. It hangs from a fine trace chain and cleans the same way as the rest of the family: warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Every piece is cast in solid gold and hallmarked by the Birmingham Assay Office. Materials: solid 9ct yellow gold (18ct available on request); bee fused to inner curve, one-piece cast construction; fine trace chain included, 45cm; mirror-polished outer edge with satin-brushed inner curve; approx. 4.2g. Made to order: 5 to 7 weeks. Price from £580 (18ct from £800).
