The Story

I designed the Emza Vine Letter Pendant for a quieter kind of detail, something you notice on a second look. A slender vine of smooth leaves winds up the tall stroke of your chosen letter, following its rise the way ivy follows a wall. Every point where a leaf touches the letter is fused solid in the casting, so the vine reads as one continuous piece of gold rather than a chain of separate parts. The leaves stay smooth and rounded, no veins or engraving, in keeping with the sculptural language of the whole family. The stroke beneath keeps its mirror-polished edge and satin-brushed curve. It hangs from a fine trace chain and wears easily day to day: warm soapy water, a soft cloth, and it stays honest. Every piece is cast in solid gold and hallmarked by the Birmingham Assay Office. Materials: solid 9ct yellow gold (18ct available on request); vine fused to stroke, one-piece cast construction; fine trace chain included, 45cm; mirror-polished outer edge with satin-brushed inner curve; approx. 4.0g. Made to order: 4 to 6 weeks. Price from £560 (18ct from £780).
