The Story
In Persian poetry, the rose (گل, Gol) is never merely a flower. It is the beloved, divine beauty, and earthly paradise combined. Rumi wrote of it; Saadi named his masterwork after it. This cocktail ring renders the rose as wearable architecture. The Golestan Rose Cocktail Ring is formed in 18ct yellow gold as an open six-petal rose seen from above. Each petal is individually shaped and surface-textured with delicate botanical precision, the geometry of the Golestan collection giving organic form a structural Persian backbone. At the heart of the rose sits a 7mm natural ruby cabochon in a low bezel, the deep red of the stone recalling both the sunset sky of Iranian miniature paintings and the passion at the centre of Persian verse. Polished gold catches light between the petals as the ring moves. The band tapers cleanly from the rose face, architectural and unadorned, so nothing competes with the flower above. Made to order in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter. UK hallmarked. Lead time: 8-10 weeks. Each piece arrives with a cultural story card explaining the Persian rose tradition and the specific Golestan collection lineage.
