Parvaz Pendant

From £1,650

Final price confirmed at commission.

Parvaz means flight, and this pendant is a flight path you can hold. One slender ribbon of mirror-polished 18ct yellow gold rises, turns and closes into a teardrop loop, the way a moth circles, and where the path ends a small butterfly rests: wings smooth and thin-edged, one polished, one satin-brushed, a tiny ruby cabochon flush at the thorax.

The Story

Parvaz means flight, and this pendant is a flight path you can hold. One slender ribbon of mirror-polished 18ct yellow gold rises, turns and closes into a teardrop loop, the way a moth circles, and where the path ends a small butterfly rests: wings smooth and thin-edged, one polished, one satin-brushed, a tiny ruby cabochon flush at the thorax. A single fine line of pave diamonds is inlaid flush along the ribbon's lower sweep, light caught along the flight. The engineering is the quiet half of the design. The loop hangs from the top of its own path, and the ribbon's section swells gently opposite the butterfly so the piece balances and sits level on the chest rather than tilting: designed in the attitude it is worn in, not the attitude it poses in. The back is a flat plane, so it lies flush against the skin. Around 30mm on a fine trace chain, the hero of our delicate Parvaz capsule: the moth's whole journey, small enough to be forgotten until the light finds it. Made to order in 18ct yellow gold.
