Bal Wing Studs

From £1,150

Final price confirmed at commission.

Bal is the Persian word for wing, and this pair takes the wing alone: no body, no retelling, just the shape that makes flight possible. Each stud is a single forewing sculpted as one smooth volume of 18ct yellow gold, razor-thin along its leading edge and swelling fuller toward the root, the way a wing actually carries load.

The Story

Bal is the Persian word for wing, and this pair takes the wing alone: no body, no retelling, just the shape that makes flight possible. Each stud is a single forewing sculpted as one smooth volume of 18ct yellow gold, razor-thin along its leading edge and swelling fuller toward the root, the way a wing actually carries load. A single line of pave diamonds runs flush along each leading edge; the face is mirror-polished, the reverse satin. The pair is truly mirrored, left and right, so the wings rise the same way on both ears. These are the most abstract pieces in the capsule: at arm's length they read as light on a curve, and only up close as a wing. Secure posts and an easy daily weight. Made to order in 18ct yellow gold.
