Parvaz Threader Earrings

From £1,250

Final price confirmed at commission.

A threader is the lightest way I know to wear gold: a fine chain drawn through the ear, a polished bar resting behind, nothing clasped, nothing heavy. Here the chain falls to a short polished sweep with a line of pave diamonds inlaid flush along it, and at its end a small butterfly rests mid-flight: wings smooth, one polished and one satin-brushed, a tiny ruby cabochon at the thorax.

The Story

A threader is the lightest way I know to wear gold: a fine chain drawn through the ear, a polished bar resting behind, nothing clasped, nothing heavy. Here the chain falls to a short polished sweep with a line of pave diamonds inlaid flush along it, and at its end a small butterfly rests mid-flight: wings smooth, one polished and one satin-brushed, a tiny ruby cabochon at the thorax. The butterfly hangs plumb at the bottom of its own path, so each earring settles level and moves the way a moth moves, in small turns that catch the light. Worn as a pair they frame the face with almost nothing: two flight lines, two sparks of flame. Around 40mm of fall and a few grams of 18ct yellow gold. Made to order.
