The Story
The cypress tree (سرو, Sarv) appears in Persian poetry as the symbol of the upright beloved: tall, unwavering, beautiful in all seasons. Hafez compared it to the grace of the one he loved. This slim stacking band carries that image in gold. The Sarv Stacking Band is a 2mm 9ct yellow gold ring with a repeating engraved cypress silhouette encircling the entire band. Each tree is rendered in clean, minimal line work rooted in the Persian garden tradition, the cypresses marching in a row the way they line the great avenue of Fin Garden in Kashan. The finish is satin gold, warm and quiet; the inner band is polished smooth against the skin. Wear it alone as an everyday piece, or layer it with other rings to build a personal stack.
