Sholeh Ring
From £850
Final price confirmed at commission.
Sholeh means flame, and this ring holds the family's founding story in its smallest form: the moth and the flame, a breath apart. The slim polished band opens across the top of the finger; one end resolves into a small smooth-winged gold moth, the other carries a teardrop ruby cabochon, domed and unfaceted, flush in a polished bezel shaped like a droplet of fire.

The Story
Sholeh means flame, and this ring holds the family's founding story in its smallest form: the moth and the flame, a breath apart. The slim polished band opens across the top of the finger; one end resolves into a small smooth-winged gold moth, the other carries a teardrop ruby cabochon, domed and unfaceted, flush in a polished bezel shaped like a droplet of fire. They face each other across the gap and never touch. The gap is the point. In the old poems the moth's devotion is the approach itself: Attar told it, Rumi told it, Hafez told it. Worn on the hand, the story sits where you see it a hundred times a day. The band is round and true, comfortable to size. Made to order in 18ct yellow gold.
