A deliberately unmatched pair: one ear wears the moth, the other wears the flame. The moth is a small sculpted volume of smooth 18ct yellow gold, wings swept back mid-flight; the flame is a teardrop ruby cabochon, domed and unfaceted, flush in a polished gold bezel. Persian poetry has spent seven centuries on these two, the lover and the light, parvaneh o sham'. Worn apart, one at each ear, they carry the whole story across the width of a face.
