The Story

Nastaran (نسترن) is the wild rose that climbs the walls of the Persian garden, and this ring follows it. The band is a slim, smooth stem that rises from each side of the finger and passes either side of a kite cut stone in a gentle bypass. The stem grows the setting itself: a fine claw at each of the kite’s four corners holds the stone low, with no basket beneath it. Two small leaves, each folded along its centre, sit where the stem meets the stone. Nothing else is added, there are no thorns, and every leaf and claw is joined to the stem. 18ct yellow gold, polished. The ring is drawn around a kite of about 9 x 6 mm, and the setting is fitted to the kite you choose, from 8 to 10 mm long. The fitted band is the same stem with a single flat folded leaf, and it sits flush beside the ring. The price shown is for the setting in 18ct yellow gold alone: the centre stone is chosen with you from a range of stones, shown here in teal sapphire and salt and pepper diamond, and priced with it. Every ring is made to order, and nothing is held in stock.
