The Story
Each of these studs is a single wing. Worn together, the pair completes the moth: one wing at each ear, mirrored, so the piece only becomes whole on the wearer. I like jewellery that needs a person to finish it. Each wing is one continuous volume of mirror-polished 18ct yellow gold with a thin, knife-delicate edge, carrying a single line of tiny pave-set diamonds along its leading curve. A small round ruby cabochon sits flush at each thorax, the spark of the flame scaled to a whisper. The satin-brushed body gives each stud its moment of calm against the polish. At this scale the collection's inlaid diamond ribbon becomes a single clean line; the language is the same, spoken softly.
