The Story

I designed the Sama Circle Bangle around the part of the ceremony that happens after the turn: the dancers moving together in a ring, never alone. The bangle is a closed circle for the same reason, a form with no start or end, worn as a constant. The band is a slim, hollow tube in mirror-polished 18ct yellow gold, kept light on the wrist by its hollow construction rather than sheer weight of metal. Set evenly around the circle are three small whirl knots, each hand-brushed against the polished band the way every Sama piece pairs a raw surface with a mirrored one. No stones sit on this piece. The knots carry the whole story on their own, three dancers turning in the same circle. Every surface is smooth and wipe-clean, sized at a standard 63mm inner diameter to slip over the hand and sit easily on the wrist, whether worn alone or stacked with the rest of the line. Hallmarked by the Birmingham Assay Office. Materials: 18ct solid yellow gold, hallmarked by the Birmingham Assay Office
