The Story

The lariat sets the story in motion down the body. At the base of the throat, the flame: a teardrop ruby cabochon, domed and unfaceted, flush in its polished bezel, fixed on a very fine 18ct yellow gold chain. From it the chain falls a hand's width further, and at its end the moth rises, wings swept, forever climbing back toward the light above it. The moth hangs from a point set just ahead of its centre of gravity, which is what holds that upward attitude on the body rather than only in pictures. It is the kind of detail nobody sees and everybody reads. The most romantic piece in the capsule. Made to order in 18ct yellow gold.
